ZENJ Recruitment is seeking to hire a REGISTERED MANAGER for a Children’s Residential Home on behalf of a client in Slough.

Salary: £65,000 to £80,000 per annum | Permanent | Full-Time depending on experience.

Experience required: You must be an experienced Registered Manager with at least 3 years of experience.

We are searching for an inspiring, resilient leader to take full responsibility for a warm, residential home supporting young people.

You will ensure high-quality care in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and Ofsted, while developing and supervising a committed team.

A candidate who is willing to upgrade to a Responsible Individual position most preferably within a year is highly recommended to apply.

You'll need,
🔹 Level 5 Leadership & Management for residential childcare or an equivalent.
🔹 Willingness to complete the Ofsted registration process.
🔹 Strong leadership, resilience, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of young people.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health Systems Consultant to provide technical expertise in strengthening health systems, improving healthcare service delivery, and supporting evidence-based policy and program implementation. The consultant will work closely with government agencies, development partners, healthcare institutions, and community stakeholders to design, implement, monitor, and evaluate health systems interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct health systems assessments and identify gaps, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance on health policy, governance, financing, human resources for health, and service delivery.
  • Support the design and implementation of health sector programs and projects.
  • Develop strategic plans, policy briefs, concept notes, and technical reports.
  • Facilitate stakeholder consultations, workshops, and capacity-building initiatives.
  • Strengthen monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning systems.
  • Analyze health data and generate actionable recommendations for decision-making.
  • Support resource mobilization efforts, including proposal development and donor engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with national health policies, standards, and international best practices.
  • Prepare high-quality consultancy reports and presentations within agreed timelines.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master's degree in Public Health, Health Systems Management, Health Policy, Epidemiology, Health Economics, Medicine, or a related field. A PhD is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience in health systems strengthening, health policy, health program management, or related areas.
  • Demonstrated experience working with government ministries, development partners, NGOs, or international organizations.
  • Strong understanding of health systems frameworks, universal health coverage, and health sector reforms.
  • Proven experience in research, data analysis, monitoring and evaluation, and report writing.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and health data management tools.
